These terms are a contract between you and Gabriel Uhlíř, a sole trader (OSVČ) registered in the Czech Republic (IČO 06410804), who operates the Gifyo app and this website ("Gifyo", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Gifyo, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Gifyo.
1. Who can use Gifyo
Gifyo is an 18+ service. You may use it only if you are 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract. You must give accurate account information and keep it current.
2. What Gifyo is
Gifyo lets you record short looping video selfies on your front camera, apply filters, and share them in a feed. We may change, add, or remove features at any time. There are no payments in Gifyo — it is free to use, and nothing in the app is for sale.
3. Your account
You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your login safe. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access. One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the clips and text you post. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, and display your content so that we can run the service — show it in the feed, generate thumbnails, and deliver it to other users. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law (see the Privacy Policy).
You are responsible for what you post. You confirm you have the right to post it and that it does not break these terms, our Content Policy, or the law.
5. What you may not do
Our Content Policy sets out in full what is and is not allowed, and it forms part of these terms. In short, you may not:
- Post content that is illegal, or that our Content Policy places at Tier 2 — including any sexual depiction of a minor and any non-consensual sexual material.
- Post mature content without the correct label, or mislabel content.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others, or post someone else's private information.
- Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or get around our moderation and detection systems.
- Use Gifyo to advertise or drive traffic to paid content elsewhere.
6. Moderation and removal
We scan every upload before it is published and review reports from users. We may remove content, apply a label, hide content pending review, or restrict or ban an account when these terms or the Content Policy are broken. Where we remove your content or restrict your account, we will tell you what was affected, which rule applied, and how to appeal. Appeals are decided by a person.
7. Reporting content
Any user can report content or an account from inside the app. You can also report suspected illegal material to security@gifyo.app. This is our notice and action mechanism under Article 16 of the Digital Services Act.
8. Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, under Settings. Deletion removes your clips and account data, with the narrow exceptions set out in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or where we must for legal reasons.
9. No warranty
Gifyo is provided "as is". We do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content posted by other users. These terms do not affect your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will give notice in the app or on this site before it takes effect. Continuing to use Gifyo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply.
